Hiddlesphile/Hiddlestonphile

I really like Tom Hiddleston (who doesn’t these days?), but I don’t like the word “fan” too much. It’s always associated with screaming hordes of fans aged 12 to 14 and with fanatism. Thus being a fan reminds people of fanatics and fanatics have a negative connotation. But for me it’s a positive and inspiring thing: it enriches my life and inspires me to to weird and creative things. In addition I’m more than twice that certain age and I don’t like to think of me as a fanatic. The OED and @HiddlesTigress1 gave me some synonyms but I wasn’t happy with either of them.
As I love making up my own words, I finally came up with this solution: a Hiddlesphile. Actually it should be Hiddlestonphile, but it doesn’t roll off the tongue that well. One could even go as far as to include the T. W. and make it Twhiddlesphile :).

Usually I don’t like working with other people’s photos. They’re a piece of art, I respect copyrights and I prefer using my own material. But as today’s quote is dedicated to the Hiddles’ Army members, I thought I’d make a second one for today actually showing the subject of our fangirling ;). And I’ve never met him, so there are no own photos.

I chose this photo of Mr. Hiddleston because I think balancing on a banister like that needs a little bit of inner moonlight (yes, I know… probably simply the photographer’s idea… but still… ).

The idea behind the whole quote was that I keep reading about people who are declared freakish or weird because of their fangirling, their hobbies, the way they dress etc. And I think Ginsberg’s quote is a suitable motto for everyone who feels a little different sometimes. It has been one of mine for years and it does in a way correspond to Loki’s “I do what I want” and his mischievousness which needs a whole fullmoon of inner moonlight :).
